Scope of this Policy
This policy explains what data the VTa Crypto Charts app, website, feedback page, AI features, subscriptions, AI credits, and related services may process, why the data is processed, the legal bases under the GDPR where applicable, retention, recipients, international transfers, and user rights.
Data We May Process
- Technical app and device data: device identifiers, app version, language, region, operating system, network data, security metadata, timestamps, and logs needed to operate, secure, and improve the app.
- Market and chart requests: symbols, timeframes, quotes, charts, levels, indicators, and request metadata needed to load market information. External providers may process IP address and technical request data.
- On-device calculations: many indicators, pattern checks, levels, and technical context values are calculated locally on the device where possible.
- Alerts and push notifications: if enabled, we may process messaging tokens, alert settings, symbols, timeframes, levels, conditions, delivery status, and related technical metadata.
- Analytical context, patterns, and drawings: selected market context, technical scores, visible analytical factors, detected pattern information, and chart state may be processed to display analytical features.
- AI market-context analysis: when you manually request VTa Arbiter AI analysis, the app may send a limited analytical snapshot such as selected symbol, timeframe, score, visible analytical factors, and technical context needed to generate the explanation.
- AI credits and purchases: purchase validation data, order identifiers, credit balance, credit usage records, device identifiers, timestamps, and anti-abuse metadata. Payments are processed by Google Play; we do not receive full card or bank details.
- Subscriptions: subscription status and validation metadata needed to unlock paid features and provide support.
- Feedback and support: name/message entered by the user, timestamps, conversation content, admin replies, moderation data, and technical metadata needed to respond and prevent abuse.
- News and external links: headlines, snippets, source information, and cached lists may be shown in the app. Opening an external link sends you to the third-party website, which applies its own policy.
- Crash or diagnostic logs: if enabled or provided by platform tools, diagnostic data may be used to improve stability, security, and compatibility.
Advertising and Privacy Choices
The free version uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Depending on your choices and the ads served, Google and its advertising partners may collect and share your IP address (including an approximate location inferred from it), app and ad interactions, diagnostic and performance information, and device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID. These data support advertising, ad measurement, analytics relating to advertising, security, and fraud prevention. The app does not request precise GPS location.
Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform presents a consent form before advertising requests are allowed. You can review the purposes and partners, consent, or refuse consent in that form. To review or change your choices, open Ad privacy choices in the app menu when this option is available in your region. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal. Refusing personalized advertising does not necessarily remove all advertising: non-personalized or limited ads may still process technical data for delivery and fraud prevention, subject to applicable requirements and your choices. Android also provides advertising ID controls in device settings.
Pro removes in-app advertising while the entitlement is active. AI credits are a separate optional purchase. The app version accompanying this policy update disables automatic Firebase Analytics collection; advertising SDK measurement and the technical processing needed for app services are separate from Firebase Analytics. Read Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services. The consent form identifies the applicable advertising partners and their purposes.
Purposes of Processing
- Providing charts, levels, patterns, drawing tools, indicators, alerts, technical scores, AI analysis, subscriptions, and AI credits.
- Validating purchases, restoring entitlements, maintaining AI credit balance, preventing fraud or abuse, and providing support.
- Sending optional notifications where enabled by the user.
- Displaying and measuring advertising in the free version, respecting advertising choices, and preventing advertising fraud.
- Maintaining security, debugging, improving stability, and complying with legal obligations.
- Responding to feedback, support requests, data requests, and legal requests.
Legal Bases (GDPR)
- Article 6(1)(b) - contract: processing necessary to provide requested app features, subscriptions, AI credits, purchase validation, support, and account-free app functionality.
- Article 6(1)(f) - legitimate interests: security, abuse prevention, fraud prevention, service reliability, debugging, basic diagnostics, product improvement, and protection of legal rights where proportionate.
- Article 6(1)(a) - consent: advertising personalization and device storage or access where consent is required, optional notifications, and other optional processing that requires consent. Applicable advertising purposes and legal bases are explained in the consent form; legitimate interests are not used to override a consent requirement.
- Article 6(1)(c) - legal obligation: records required by applicable law, including tax, accounting, consumer-protection, fraud-prevention, payment, or legal-compliance obligations where applicable.
Automated Processing and AI
The app may automatically calculate technical indicators, pattern checks, technical scores, alerts, and AI explanations. These outputs are informational only. The app does not make legally binding or similarly significant automated decisions about users, does not execute trades, does not manage user funds, and does not make personalized financial decisions.
Recipients and Processors
Data may be processed by providers necessary to operate the app and website. Depending on the feature used, these may include Google Play, Google/Firebase services, Google AdMob and advertising partners identified in the consent form, Cloudflare hosting or worker services, market-data providers, news providers, AI service providers, translation services, push-notification services, crash-reporting services, security providers, and app-store or payment infrastructure. We do not sell personal data for money. Advertising-related sharing may qualify as sharing or a sale under some regional privacy laws; applicable choices are provided through the advertising privacy interface where required.
International Transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, such transfers are based on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
Retention
We keep personal or technical data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Notification tokens are kept while notifications remain enabled or until they become invalid. AI credit, purchase, and subscription records may be kept as needed for balance integrity, restore purchases, support, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal obligations. Feedback may be kept until the matter is resolved or until deletion is requested where deletion is legally possible. Advertising partners apply their own retention periods as described in their privacy notices. You can request deletion of app service data using our data deletion instructions or by contacting support. Uninstalling the app does not by itself cancel a Google Play subscription or delete all server-side purchase records.
Security and Data Minimization
We aim to limit transmitted data to what is reasonably necessary for the requested feature. We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the size and nature of the service, but no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your Rights
- Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability.
- Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
- Rights relating to automated decision-making and profiling where applicable.
- Right to complain to a competent data protection authority, including your EU national authority where applicable.
To protect users and prevent unauthorized access, we may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify a request, such as the Device ID shown in the app or other proof linking the request to the relevant records.
Children
The app is not intended for children under 16 and does not knowingly process children's personal data.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy when features, providers, laws, or data practices change.
