Scope of this policy

This policy explains what data the Crypto Analyst VT app processes, for which purposes, on what legal bases (GDPR), how long data is kept, to whom it may be disclosed, and what rights you have.

What data we process

• Technical data for core features: network requests to market/analytics APIs (e.g., CoinGecko/Binance) to load quotes and charts. Your IP address may be processed by those services for routing/rate-limiting.
• On-device computations: indicators (e.g., RSI, MA) are calculated locally on your device.
• Push notifications (optional): if you enable them, we process a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to deliver notifications. The token does not directly identify you but is a technical identifier of your device for FCM.
• Translation (optional): a language model (Google ML Kit) may be downloaded when you choose a translation feature/language.
• Third-party web content in WebView: if embedded widgets/sites are shown (e.g., TradingView), those parties may process session technical data and set their own cookies/similar technologies under their policies.
• Crash/diagnostic logs (optional): if you opt in to sending crash reports, we may receive technical diagnostics to improve stability.
• Accounts: the app does not create user accounts and does not store personal profiles.

Purposes of processing

• Providing core app functionality (quotes, charts, analytics).
• Sending optional notifications if you enable them.
• Improving stability and quality (crash diagnostics — only with your consent).

Legal bases (GDPR)

• Art. 6(1)(b) performance of a contract: technical processing necessary to run the app.
• Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interests: security, abuse prevention, basic performance analytics where necessary and proportionate.
• Art. 6(1)(a) consent: push notifications, crash reports, and specific third-party modules — only if you explicitly enable them.

Retention

Technical data is kept only as long as needed to provide features and ensure security. The FCM token is kept while notifications remain enabled or until you disable them or reinstall the app. Crash logs are retained according to the respective provider’s settings/terms.

Recipients and processors

• Infrastructure and SDK providers (e.g., Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications; Google ML Kit for language models; market data services such as CoinGecko/Binance; widgets such as TradingView).
• We do not sell your personal data.

Transfers outside the EEA

Processing by providers (e.g., Google/Firebase) may involve transfers to countries outside the EEA subject to appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) as described in those providers’ policies.

Your rights

• Access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability.
• Objection to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdrawal of consent at any time (does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
• Complaint to your national data protection authority in the EU.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 16 and does not knowingly process children’s data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Effective date: 2025-09-21.
